In a clothing rut. Ugh!

So...I am really getting tired of wearing everything that is in my closet. This is what I usually wear:
-Ripped black jeans with a band shirt
-Some sort of black skirt with tights and a band shirt
-Black dress pants, combat boots, and a dress shirt *To work*

I feel like I wear the same thing over and over again. A while back a few bloggers did posts about a "wardrobe overhaul". Sary Walrus wardrobe overhaul, The everday goth wardrobe overhaul,F yeah lolita wardrobe overhaul. I have currently modified some denim shorts for summer...but honestly I do not like how they look on me. I know what I want my wardrobe to look like...but now it is filled with old pieces that I really dislike wearing. (Example: plaid button up shirts...) So with the inspiration of the lovely Sary Walrus (who was part of the inspiration for me to have a blog...oh and here is her blog. The Walrus Room) I shall do my own wardrobe overhaul! I warn you...I mention pastel goth fashion.

-Patterns and Colors-

I love matching my makeup with certain jewelry I am wearing. Another color that is not shown is blue. I love blue eyeshadow. I also love an all black look with a few pops of color. I am trying to wear dresses and skirts more as well. And god do I love the look of leather. (Not real leather of course!) And anything that looks distressed really catches my eye.

Psychara has really inspired me fashion wise. I love her makeup and layering! As I have mentioned I like a few details of the pastel goth fashion. This does not make me less of a goth. Nor does this turn me into a full fledged pastel goth. Crust punks, death rockers, White Zombie, Taylor Momsen, rosaries, layers, knee highs, stockings, distressed denim, skulls, Doc Martins, head bands, spikes, and the 90s all inspires me. I think it is time to change up my closet to something that I do not get bored with making outfits. I will still be goth...but I feel like I really need to change. Where I can have more pieces that can be mixed and clothing I wear more than once and feel confident wearing. So have you been in a rut before?

  1. Aww, thanks for the mentions! <3

Maybe we should just swap wardrobes? I'm still quite sick of all my worn to death clothes as well. But I wish you luck in your quest for a wardrobe that you adore. :3

  2. Thank you! Oh yes let us swap! I'm going to do another post on favorite outfit inspirations, etc. I will definitely take pictures when clothing is acquired. :)
