I love very bright eyeshadow. I also love cruelty free makeup! I knew about Medusa's Makeup for a while and I finally have some in my large collection of makeup. Medusa's Makeup is an independant brand that specializes in bright eyeshadow, eye glitter, and lip stick. They are also cruelty free and PETA certified which is a big plus. They recycle all paper, plastic, bottles, and cans at their facility. They also reuse the packaging materials and use recycled envelopes in their online orders. The website is easy to navigate and their pressed eyeshadow is only eight bucks. (Which is way cheaper than Urban Decay eyeshadow.) I sent them an email asking if I could do a review on my blog of their makeup. I was allowed to choose one product and just pay shipping. (I ended up purchasing another eyeshadow.) I chose two pressed eyeshadows in the colors Electro Red and Electro Orange. Here is what I got in the mail. It took some will power not to rip open everything.
Everything was packaged so neatly! I recieved a sticker, a catalogue, and a free lip gloss in the color Lover Boy.
The Electro Red is a very bright cherry red with silver glitter. The color definately matches what is on the website. The Electro Orange is lighter than in the picture but when swatched on my skin over primer it does show up brighter. (Electro Orange also has silver glitter in it.) The free lip gloss I recieved (In the color Lover Boy) smells like bubble gum but sort of tastes like plastic. At least I like to wear lip gloss instead of eat it. The color is a very bright pink and is a little bit brighter than what is shown on the website. On my lips it is not as bright but it gives my lips a nice pop of color. Sort of like a lip tint instead of a gloss. Overall I love everything! ( Remember that I bought this with my own money and was not paid.)
Medusa's Makeup official website!
I am definately going to buy more in the near future. So do you buy cruelty free makeup or beauty products? *And sorry males that this does not interest you. Hush just let me be a girl!*
