So I got a new job at Books a Million! And I have been sucked into the show Greys Anatomy. I thought I would hate dramas...but I love this show! Love triangles, blood, surgeries, and McDreamy! Anyway...here are some links to outfits/clothing/nonsense that I love and/or want to buy.
These pants (love the black on black stripes)

This summer I am attempting to wear more dresses and skirts. Here are a few outfit inspirations for this spring/summer!
Inspiration 1 (I plan on getting a light black vest and adding patches and studs to it and this would be a cute summer outfit! )

Inspiration 2 ( Add ripped and destroyed knee highs, remove the scarf and jackets...boom summer!)

Oh! And I was going to post pictures up of new jewelry I bought....but the picture uploader thingie on blogger is being fickle. Ugh! Hopefully I can post the pictures up soon here! They are on my Facebook though if you are really curious!

Goth Challenge...what is in my makeup bag? (The modified version)
Well if I made a list of all the items in my makeup bag (aka giant box o makeup) I would be writing for quite a while...so time to modify the challenge!
:Favorite Makeup Brands I own:
-Wet N Wild (very cheap)
-LA Colors (very cheap)
-Too Faced
-ELF (very cheap)
-Hard Candy
-Maybelline
:Favorite Makeup Items I own:
LA Colors Wildflowers palette
cost: $1
LA Colors Iris palette
cost: $1
Wet N Wild CoverAll powder foundation in light/pale
cost: under $4
Hard Candy Sheer Envy Primer
cost: $6
ELF Essential Lipstick in Voodoo
cost: $1
The majority of my makeup is cheap. I occasionally buy more expensive brands (Too Faced) when I visit Sephora. Both Hard Candy and LA Colors are cruelty free but I am not sure about the other brands.
And finally....items I always carry with me.
-Oil blotter sheets
-eyeliner
-mirror
-lip gloss and Blistex
So what are your favorite brands of makeup? Do you own a lot of makeup or very little?

The Lone Goth
So I live in a small town in the grand ole south. Alabama to be exact and more known for rednecks and heavy accents. Well I just happen to be literally the only goth girl in my town. Have I seen any at my college? Nope. Have I seen any goths at local shows? Nope. I would even love to see another goth at a grocery store. But nope. How do I keep my sanity?! Well the truth is I do get lonely. I just want to have a nice picnic in a graveyard with a friend or a nice stroll in a park with a fellow goth. I reach out to the internet in order to find goth friends. (Wow I have used the word "goth" far too much already) I have succeeded in making friends and I text some of them and just chat online. The rest of my real life friends are either "normals" or metal heads. Normals referring to those who belong to no subculture. So for those who either live in a small town like I do or just have no luck in finding goth friends I give you this advice: Do not feel lonely. You can be friends with people who dress differently. You can be friends with anybody. Do not filter friends based on what they wear. Try to make friends online. I know this is not the same but you never know who lives close to you.
I have made many friends who share the same interests as me but are not in any way gothic. So do you have very few, a lot or no fellow goth friends? Do you have more internet friends than real life friends?

Viva La Inspiration! (Movie addition)
So on Facebook I asked for suggestions on what do do posts about. My favorite one so far was suggested by Nephilium Incorruptus. The idea was to do a post about drawing inspiration from movies. So I created a few looks based off of popular movies. And here we go!
1. Edward Scissorhands
This is great for goths who love leather, spikes, and chains! For the makeup I would do a bare eye and black lipstick. For hair....tease tease tease!
2. The Craft
If you have not seen The Craft I highly recommend you do. The themes range from bullying, revenge, witch craft, and karma. I have watched this movie a million times.
3. Harry Potter (Sirius Black)
Great for the professional yet casual goth male! If you have not seen or read any of the Harry Potter books/movies....for shame!
4. Corpse Bride
This one was a little difficult. I decided to go with the color scheme because not many people would wear a torn wedding dress everyday. With the exception of weddings or Halloween. Also I believe that the goth lifestyle is not just about wearing black clothing.
5. BeetleJuice (Lydia Deetz)
Ah..last but not least. A very well recognized gothic character. Now I seriously am pondering wearing ponchos. I would go with grey eyeshadow and bare lips for this look.
So, do you draw inspiration from movies? Should I do more "inspiration posts"? Oh and what is your favorite movie that gets your creative juices flowing?

Goth challenge: 5 items that every Goth should have!
Well...the storm did not blow me away. It turned out that the weather men just hyped it up to be this great big cluster of doom. It just turned into lots or rain (that cleaned the pollen off my car) and wind. But anyway the goth challenge was originally "5 items every Goth wardrobe should have regardless of style". I think wardrobe is too narrow so I modified this into a general clothing/accessories/beauty products that every goth should have. Enjoy!
1. Dry Shampoo
Dry shampoo is a must have item for anybody! It soaks up oil and is great for adding volume to life less hair. I use this when I am at local concerts when the humidity makes my hair an oil refinery. Also great for days when you are in a hurry and you have no time for a shower. There are many brands available for all hair types.
2. Medical scrubs
I wear these when I am grocery shopping or doing laundry. They come in a wide variety of colors and even cute Halloween prints are available. Oh and they are comfortable! It is like wearing pajamas without the shame of wearing them in public. I have a black pair that has several pockets on them.
3. A choker
Chokers or collars come in so many styles....from Death Rock to Victorian Goth. Sometimes the right accessory can complete your entire outfit. If you are not willing to spend a lot of money you can always make your own (I know I have!).
4. Comfort Insoles for shoes
I was gifted with flat feet and no arches. So therefore even combat boots will kill my feet after a few hours. If you are going to be on your feet in a ridiculous pair of shoes all day, why not make them more comfy? And this is an item where if you try to get the cheapest option you will regret it. No goth (or any body for that matter) wants aching feet after a long day.
5. A basic black tee shirt
This is a uni sex item. They come in many cuts and styles (v-neck, scoop neck, cap sleeve, 3/4th sleeve, etc.) You can dress this up or dress it down. Wear it with a black skirt and fishnets for a casual goth look or shredded black pants and combat boots for a casual male goth look. I personally own several styles of tee shirts.
So do you already have some of these items? Would you purchase any of these items?

11. I do not like red roses. My favorite flowers are purple dahlias, orchids, and daisies.
12. I am a Spiritual Satanist not because of the goth culture.
13. My favorite movie is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

Evil Dead outfit of the day!
Well...until I get an actual camera I cannot get a good picture of my body. Which is best for OOTD (outfit of the day) posts. *sigh* So until then I will take pictures to the best of my ability so you can get a general idea of my outfit. I do hope that makes sense.
So I just saw the remake of Evil Dead! I will not spoil anything for you but if you are sickened by blood and gore, then I suggest you not see it. It has ridiculous amounts of blood. But I love gore so I enjoyed the movie. Yes, I am a twisted individual. I would first recommend that you see the original film sometime in your life. This is a very good remake for the new generation. But here is my outfit!
Plain black tank top: thrift store
Jacket: Ark & Co. (thrift store)
Skirt: thrift store
Ripped fishnets with torn thigh highs: TJ Maxx
Makeup: Too Faced Lashgasm mascara, Ulta black eyeliner, La colors white eyeshadow, Wet n Wild black eyeshadow and black liquid liner.

Let the Goth blog challenge begin!
So I have always wanted to do this! Thanks to Sary Walrus and her post I discovered the goth challenge modified by DarkStalker girl.
Here is Sary Walrus's post
http://ourwalrusroom.blogspot.com/2013/04/my-goth-closet-keywords-and-how-to-use.html
And here is DarkStalker Girl's post
http://darstalkergirl.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/a-goth-y-blog-challenge.html
I want to do at least two goth challenges a week and hopefully I can stick to that goal! So my first two challenges shall be:
33. Something that I made
So my choker was made from craft supplies at Hobby Lobby which is an arts, crafts, hobbies, and decoration store. I bought a plain metal key ring and a stretchy cord necklace with hook clasps in the back. I cut the cord in the middle and tied both sides to the ring. Voila! Instant choker for around three U.S bucks. For the spider I already had this random silver chain so I bought the spider charm for around $3.99.
23. What influences my Goth style
I have created a scrap book for this purpose. It has random magazine clippings, music lyrics, and anything that inspires me. But my influences range from movies, books, musicians, music videos, and the like. I like certain aspects of the Nu-goth craze such as inverted crosses and baggy shirts. Due to the fact that I am proud of my religion and a baggy black button up shirt looks awesome with black tights, combat boots, and a leather jacket. Sue me! Now for my influences in corresponding categories...boom!
