And here is DarkStalker Girl's post
http://darstalkergirl.blogspot.com.au/2013/01/a-goth-y-blog-challenge.html
I want to do at least two goth challenges a week and hopefully I can stick to that goal! So my first two challenges shall be:
33. Something that I made
So my choker was made from craft supplies at Hobby Lobby which is an arts, crafts, hobbies, and decoration store. I bought a plain metal key ring and a stretchy cord necklace with hook clasps in the back. I cut the cord in the middle and tied both sides to the ring. Voila! Instant choker for around three U.S bucks. For the spider I already had this random silver chain so I bought the spider charm for around $3.99.
23. What influences my Goth style
I have created a scrap book for this purpose. It has random magazine clippings, music lyrics, and anything that inspires me. But my influences range from movies, books, musicians, music videos, and the like. I like certain aspects of the Nu-goth craze such as inverted crosses and baggy shirts. Due to the fact that I am proud of my religion and a baggy black button up shirt looks awesome with black tights, combat boots, and a leather jacket. Sue me! Now for my influences in corresponding categories...boom!
:Movies:
- Beetle juice
- Strange Land
- Hocus Pocus
- Repo! The Genetic Opera
- Twiggy Ramirez
- Taylor Momsen
- Depeche Mode
- Skinny Puppy
- Marilyn Manson *don't look at me like that!*
- The Cure
- The Birthday Massacre- Looking glass
- Depeche Mode-Policy of Truth
- She Wants Revenge-Sister
- Rob Zombie-Dragula
Thanks for the mention! Your necklace is really adorable and I'm glad you mentioned comfort because it never gets enough attention! :3
ReplyDeleteYou are very welcome and thanks! Comfort is a really big influence in my clothing. Most assume comfort equals ugly or unflattering but if you look hard enough you can find something that is both cute and comfy.
